My Daily Constitution

From September 17 - 24, 2006, a series of public programs about the U.S. Constitution led by lawyers, scholars, advocates, students, artists, and others will be held as part of “My Daily Constitution” in Indianapolis.
“My Daily Constitution” will kick off with a public reading of the U.S. Constitution on Constitution Day, Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Atrium of the Indiana Statehouse.
For the rest of the week you are invited to come out to the Constitution Cafés, witness a high school debate, take part in a poetry slam, join a bus tour, view an exhibit of the United States Constitution, watch a film series and more.
Free copies of the U.S. Constitution will be available at all discussion locations and several bookshops and coffee houses around the city.
“My Daily Constitution” events will take place in locations around the city including: The Indiana Statehouse, IUPUI Democracy Plaza, The Old Centrum, The Athenaeum Foundation, The Spades Park Library, Shapiro’s Deli, The Indiana Historical Society, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Outword Bound Books, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Christian Park Family Center, Glendale Library, Glendale Mall, Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, the Indianapolis Museum of Art and Oldfields-Lilly House & Gardens.
All events are free and open to the public.
