On Thursday, February 18, the Indy Film Fest presents an exclusive screening of William Kunstler: Disturbing the Universe at the IMAs Toby Theater. In this acclaimed and powerful documentary, filmmakers Emily Kunstler and Sarah Kunstler explore the life of their father, the late radical civil rights lawyer William Kunstler, recounting the historic causes that Kunstler fought for and revealing a man who risked public outrage and the safety of his family so that justice could serve all. The evening will be hosted by Waples & Hanger, one of the states only law firms concentrating on civil rights and constitutional freedoms. With a long history of reforming public policies and advocating for legislative solutions to systemic civil rights abuses , Richard Waples and JauNae Hanger will provide a unique and local perspective in an engaging Q&A session, moderated by Fran Quigley Visiting Professor of Law at Indiana University School of Law (Indianapolis) and the Associate Director of the internationally recognized Indiana-Kenya Partnership/ USAID-AMPATH immediately following the film. Join us in the lobby of the Indianapolis Museum of Art for pre-screening cocktails and conversation. Show starts at 7:30. Mark your calendars and call your friends.
