Law school students with an interest in intellectual property law are invited to come and hear IP Center Speaker and 2001 alum, Patrick Jones, on Monday, October 22. His talk with be from 4:15 5:15 p.m. in Inlow Hall, room 375, and is titled, "Working in the Evolving Internet Landscape." He will addressing intellectual property and other issues related to domain names, Internet governance, risk management and security and will also be sharing his thoughts concerning the use of a law degree outside of the traditional legal practice in an international setting. Patrick Jones is Senior Director of Security at ICANN. Mr. Jones coordinates ICANN's Security, Stability and Resiliency responsibilities across the organization and currently supports ICANN's DNS Risk Management Framework project. Jones frequently speaks as a subject matter expert on Domain Name System risk and resiliency activities, global engagement and DNS security collaboration.
