Call for Proposals – Deadline extended to January 15, 2014
We have extended the deadline for proposal submissions for the AASE 2014 Conference on May 29 – June 1, 2014 in Indianapolis. The deadline for submission is extended to January 15, 2014. The Call for Proposals for the AASE 2014 Conference is attached. The call is purposefully broad in order to encourage a wide range of submissions. The IU McKinney School of Law is honored to host the
2nd Annual Association of Academic Support Educators Conference!
The Association of Academic Support Educators (AASE) is pleased to announce the second annual national AASE conference will be held from Thursday, May 29, 2014 through Sunday, June 1, 2014 at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The AASE is a professional organization for law school academic support educators. We invite fellow academic support educators, interested faculty, administrators and friends to join us in Indianapolis in May 2014 to:
- Learn about innovative academic support and bar pass programs from around the country;
- Discuss the latest academic support research trends;
- Engage in professional development topics including publishing, teaching skills development, social media, and effective communication strategies;
- Network and share ideas with academic support colleagues;
- Celebrate another successful academic year for our members; and
- Elect our executive board and regional representatives from the membership.
AASE membership information: Joining AASE allows you access to our TWEN page, stocked with the handouts presenters provided during their presentations. Membership will also connect you with a professional organization. Membership fees are low ($35). We would be delighted to have you join us at in collaborative fellowship. General conference information:
The conference hotel will be the Westin Indianapolis. The Westin is situated in the heart of downtown Indianapolis just footsteps away from the Indiana State House and several premiere local attractions including the Indianapolis Zoo, Eiteljorg Museum, Indiana State Museum and White River State Park.
The hotel is also down the street from Victory Field, home to the Indianapolis Indians. The Indians are in town during our conference so we hope to catch a game while you're here! There is so much to do and see in Indianapolis and we're all looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues from across the country and around the world to share and learn about ideas, research and scholarship related to academic support and bar preparation.
