Topic: Conflict Management Through Drafting
The Professional Responsibility Association has asked three speakers to discuss conflicts of interest. Our speakers will focus on these issues through the context of drafting engagement letters, waiver letters, and termination/close out letters. Our speakers will use their experience to focus practical applications of the rules of professional conduct that govern these issues. Specifically, there will be a discussion of the following: recommended elements of engagement letters to include fees, costs, and scope; discussion of conflicts of interest and waivers to include application of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct; and a discussion of close out and termination letters to include discussion of the applicable Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct.
