CORPORATE FINANCE

SPRING 2001

This course has been my favorite course so far in my law school career.I enjoyed the small, interactive class setting. This environment encouraged a more thorough analysis of the subject matter.Professor Georgakopoulos (Geo.) strongly advocated such interaction, which was fantastic.By incorporating current events into the discussions he turned me on to this exciting subject.I now look forward to reading the WSJ just to find companies entering into transactions similar to that which he analyzed in class.Overall, it was a great class and Prof. Geo., is an excellent, knowledgeable and well-informed teacher.

The professor is much better in a small class setting.I enjoyed the class because itís a topic I am interested in and because the professor did a good job of explaining the real world situations behind the facts of the cases and theory.

I took this professor in another business related course and I did not feel that he taught that subject particularly well. But, after taking this class I realized that it was just the size of the room and the size of the class. The BA classes and Bankruptcy are somewhat boring subjects and most profs get a bad RAP.Prof. Georg. is an outstanding instructor for the upper level business classes with a small class size.He would make a great addition to the IU Indy faculty.

The instructor made the course extremely enjoyable by making the students think through theories and methods that apply to mergers and acquisitions. This has been one of the most applicable courses to the real world of corporate law.I would highly recommend this course and instructor to corporate law students.
