Tanmay Dharmadhikari, ’12
Tanmay Dharmadhikari, '12, is an Intellectual Property Attorney with Brinks Gilson & Lione, one of the largest intellectual property law firms in the nation. He assists clients develop and execute strategies related to identifying and protecting intellectual property in the form of patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. Mr. Dharmadhikari has prepared and obtained patents in diverse technologies such as computer networking, satellite communications, data storage, telecommunications, Voice-over-IP, lighting control systems, Internet-based solutions, navigation systems, signal processing solutions, electronic circuitry, automobile entertainment systems, user interfaces, e-commerce, consulting services, semiconductors, industrial tools, and business methods. In his practice, Mr. Dharmadhikari has encompassed hardware, software and their combinations, along with manufacturing processes and chemical compounds related to the above mentioned technologies. Prior to joining Brinks Gilson & Lione, Mr. Dharmadhikari worked for six years in various capacities as a software engineer focused on developing software tools to visualize and analyze large datasets in real time. Mr. Dharmadhikari received his J.D. from the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2012, earning a Concentration in Intellectual Property Law. He received an M.B.A. from the IU Kelley School of Business in 2012, an M.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University in 2006, and a B.S., with distinction, in Computer Engineering from the University of Pune, India in 2004.
