Professor Hagan to Present at International Workshop in Istanbul
Professor Carrie Hagan will travel to Istanbul to be a trainer and session chair/moderator for the “Clinical Legal Education: Crimes against the Family, Community Development International Workshop” to be held September 30 and October 1.
The event will feature legal scholars and program directors from around the world during the two days of panels and discussions. Professor Hagan is the session chair for a panel titled “Family Law and Child Protection,” where she will present on “Addressing Family Law Issues in the Clinical Setting: Dissolution of Marriage, Custody, Child Support, and Paternity Issues.”
Professor Hagan will take part in two other panel discussions as a trainer during the event. She will present on “Civil Practice in the Clinical Setting: Tackling Employment, Housing, Consumer, and Administrative Law Cases in the Community” and “Case Studies and Best Practices from the Civil Practice Clinic.”
The workshop is sponsored by The Protection Project and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
Professor Hagan is a Clinical Associate Professor of Law. She directs the law school’s Civil Practice Clinic, which specializes in indigent client representation for civil cases involving housing, consumer, divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, and domestic violence civil protection order issues.
