IU McKinney to Be Site of Midwest Region of National BLSA Retreat
The Midwest Region of the National Black Law Students Association will hold its retreat at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law on October 5.
The event has programming for students in all areas of law school, everything from a boot camp and a session on planning your summer for 1Ls, to debt management tips and bar preparation for 2 and 3Ls.
“The goal of the Academic Retreat is to give students a clear understanding on how to successfully navigate through law school, how to market yourself in today's market, and helpful advice on career development,” said Olubunmi Ijose, an IU McKinney student and the Midwest Sub-Regional Director II for the National Black Law Students Association.
The event gets under way on Saturday, October 5 with registration beginning at 9 a.m., and concludes with a reception that starts at 6:30 p.m.
