Law School Community to Take Part in IUPUI's United Way Day of Caring
The Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law will take part as a team in IUPUI’s United Way Day of Caring on September 27.
Taking the lead for organizing “Team McKinney” is Lindsey Mosier, the law school’s admissions information coordinator. She has taken part in the Day of Caring for the past two years. During her first year, Mosier went to the Indianapolis Humane Society and spent the day walking dogs and grooming animals at the shelter. Last year, she went to Gleaners Food Bank and packaged after-school meals for kids. Both times, she was with others from IUPUI from different departments across campus.
She’s hoping for a good turnout from the law school. “I think we could do a lot of good!” she said. “This is a great opportunity for faculty, staff and students of the law school to volunteer together for a worthwhile local cause.”
To register for the event, fill out the 2013 Day of Caring Registration Form and enter the group code LAW and Mosier’s name in the appropriate field. Those who can’t volunteer for the September 27 event but want to take part in other opportunities can check out what The Office of Community Service and Civic Engagement has to offer.
