Joseph E. Miller, LL.M. '13, Publishes Work on International Philanthropy
Joseph E. Miller, LL.M. ’13, a partner in the Indianapolis office of Faegre Baker Daniels, has published the book Changing Our Approach to Changing the World: Encouraging and Enhancing American Engagement in International Philanthropy Through Tax Law Reform. The work was published by the Council on International Law & Politics.
The book focuses on the legal issues of international philanthropy and Miller advocates a “learning driven” approach to international charitable giving and proposes corresponding legal reforms. He recommends changes to tax law that would drive international philanthropy by encouraging Americans to give directly to foreign charities and simplifying the international grant-making process for American private foundations.
Miller is a partner in Faegre Baker Daniels’ exempt organizations group.
