Two at IU McKinney Receive Scholarships from IU GLBT Alumni Association
Jason R. Sprinkle, a 2L day student at IU McKinney, received an academic scholarship for Spring 2014 from the Indiana University Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Alumni Association (IU GLBTAA).
Sprinkle, originally from Tell City, Indiana, received his bachelor’s degree from IU Bloomington in 2012, where he majored in English and political science. As an undergraduate student, he was the director of marketing for Out at Kelley, marketing chair of the Hutton Honors College Diversity in Action Group and was involved in the IU Student Foundation Marketing and Fundraising Committees, which benefitted, among others, Middle Way House and Camp Kesem. At IU McKinney, Sprinkle is vice president of the Lambda Law Society and volunteers for the Damien Center in Indianapolis.
Sprinkle isn’t the only IU McKinney student to receive a scholarship from the organization.
Marcus A. McGhee, from Elsmere, Kentucky, received an IU GLBTAA scholarship for Fall 2013. McGhee is a 2L day student at IU McKinney. He received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2010, and a master of public administration degree in 2012 from Northern Kentucky University, before beginning his law studies.
