Professor David Orentlicher Named President-Elect of the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics
Professor David Orentlicher has been named president-elect the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics (ASLME). The group is a nonprofit educational organization whose mission is to provide high-quality scholarship, debate, and critical thought for professionals at the intersection of law, medicine, and ethics. ASLME examines big health questions with far-reaching social ramifications, like genetic testing and research, medical record privacy, end-of-life decisions, and the dynamics of informed consent.
Orentlicher is a Samuel R. Rosen Professor of Law at IU McKinney, and is co-director of the William S. and Christine S. Hall Center for Law and Health.
