Hall Center Faculty Present at Health Law Professors Conference
Four members of the faculty of the Hall Center for Law and Health at IU McKinney gave presentations at the American Society of Law, Medicine and Ethics (ASLME) 37th Annual Health Law Professors Conference. The event was held June 5 through 7 at the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
Professor Nicolas Terry spoke on “Clinical Data Sharing” as part of a panel discussing “Health Information in a Connected World” and gave a presentation in a session on “Mobile Health.”
Professor David Orentlicher presented “The Connection Between Access to Health Insurance and the Effect on One's Health” during a panel discussion on “Current Issues in Government Financed Health Care.”
Professor Diana Winters, was featured on a “Public Health Issues” panel and presented “The Magical Thinking of Food Labeling: The Failure of the NLEA.”
Assistant Professor Heather McCabe, ’03, of the IU School of Social Work spoke during the “Innovation in Health Law Teaching” panel on the topic “Public Health Law as an Essential Partner in Interprofessional Health Education.” McCabe teaches at IU McKinney as an adjunct professor.
