MaryEllen Bishop, '82, Re-Elected to IU Board of Trustees
MaryEllen Bishop, ’82, has been elected to a second three-year term on the Indiana University Board of Trustees. A partner with Cohen Garelick & Glazier, Bishop also is a graduate of the IU Kelley School of Business. She was originally elected as an IU Trustee in 2010.
"I am honored to be able to serve the university for three more years," Bishop said. "There are significant issues facing IU, and I look forward to joining my fellow trustees and getting back to work.”
Bishop has been active in IU organizations for many years, including serving on the IU McKinney Board of Visitors, the IU Women's Philanthropy Council, the IU Athletics Committee, and as chairwoman of the IU Alumni Association in 2007-08. On the Board of Trustees, she has chaired the external relations committee and served on the facilities and academic affairs committees.
"I want to congratulate MaryEllen on earning a second term as trustee," said IU President Michael A. McRobbie. "MaryEllen is a passionate supporter of the university who has served the interests of our alumni and all our stakeholders very well during her first term on the board. I look forward to her continued counsel over the next three years."
