2L Alicia Albertson is Student Editor for the National Jurist Magazine
A rising IU McKinney 2L is the new student editor for the National Jurist magazine. There is just one student editor selected from applicants from around the country.
Alicia Albertson began her new duties July 1. She’s responsible for writing “The Good & The Bad” portion of the magazine, highlighting both good and not so good happenings in the legal education community. Albertson also will write short news stories for the magazine’s website, and provide feedback for editors about the magazine and its website. The magazine was founded in 1991 and covers news about law schools and matters of interest to those in legal education.
Albertson had planned to become a journalist before changing her mind and deciding to attend law school. She had written for her college newspaper, as well as for a variety of other publications, and sees herself freelancing in the future because she enjoys writing.
“I think that this was one of those opportunities that just blended all of the things I am passionate about,” Albertson said, “and I felt like it was something that I would enjoy doing, so I decided to apply.”
