Carol Mihalik, '95, Named Indiana Securities Commissioner
Carol Mihalik, ’95, has been named Indiana Securities Commissioner by Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson. Mihalik had previously served as general counsel in the Secretary of State’s office.
Mihalik takes the place of Chris Naylor, ’98, who resigned last month to become assistant executive director of the Indiana Prosecuting Attorneys Council. In her new position, Mihalik will lead the Secretary of State's efforts to regulate state securities.
Mihalik joined the Secretary of State's office in 2009 as associate general counsel primarily focused on complex securities litigation. Mihalik also served under two commissioners at the Indiana Department of Insurance and worked in the office of the Indiana Attorney General.
