Professor Hagan in Delhi for 7th Worldwide Conference for Justice Education
IU McKinney Professor Carrie Hagan is taking part in the Global Alliance for Justice Education in Delhi, India, for the alliance’s seventh worldwide conference. The event is being hosted by the Jindal Global Law School of O.P. Jindal Global University and the National Law University-Dehli.
Professor Hagan will present on December 10 on the topic “Integrating Social Work Theory and Practice into the Law Clinic Curriculum.” The conference is billed as an opportunity for law teachers, law students, legal practitioners, jurists and social activists to acquire new ideas, models, and skills for the use of education to promote social justice. While there will be traditional plenary sessions and keynote speakers, much of the work of the conference is done in small group workshops designed to allow for sharing ideas and teaching materials.
Professor Hagan is a Clinical Associate Professor of Law. She directs the law school’s Civil Practice Clinic, which specializes in indigent client representation for civil cases involving housing, consumer, divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, and domestic violence civil protection order issues.
