Catherine Lemmer's Work and Travels Take Her to Cape Town


Library Professor Catherine Lemmer’s work for the Legal Resource Centre (LRC) took her to Cape Town recently, and she took advantage of the trip to explore the coastal region.

African penguinsOn this most recent adventure, Lemmer snapped photos of a colony of African penguins, which are endangered. They nest around Boulders Beach, on the eastern side of the Cape Peninsula. She also shares a photo at Cape Good Hope, the most south-western point on the African continent.

Lemmer is in Johannesburg, South Africa working for the Legal Resources Centre. She’s sharing her experience working at the LRC and living in South Africa on her blog, Right Angle Resume.

Professor Lemmer is the Head of Information Services for the Ruth Lilly Law Library at IU McKinney. As part of the library’s administrative team, she supervises the public services division of the law library and participates in managing library operations. In addition to her administrative duties, she teaches the second year legal research course; legal research in the first year LARC classes, and in the LL.M. program-American Law for Foreign Lawyers.
