Professors Dannenmaier and Dutton Receive 2013 Grimes Fellowships
Professor Eric Dannenmaier and Professor Yvonne Dutton received Grimes Fellowships for 2013. The John S. Grimes Faculty Grants and Fellowships were established by the Grimes’ estate. He was a long-time professor who taught property, and trusts and estates at the law school.
Professor Dannenmaier received the fellowship to work on his proposal titled “Legal Frameworks for Great Lakes Governance.” He also received this fellowship in 2009 and in 2010. Professor Yvonne Dutton received the fellowship to work on her proposal titled “Piracy and Ransoms.”
Grimes Fellowships are awarded to faculty to improve or develop teaching or courses. Faculty may utilize the fellowships to participate in conferences, courses or seminars in teaching techniques or skills development and creation of course materials, casebooks, or new courses.
