Professor Boyne Named to ASCL Committee
Professor Shawn Boyne has been named to the finance committee of the American Society of Comparative Law. The American Society of Comparative Law, Inc. (ASCL) is the leading organization in the United States promoting the comparative study of law. Founded in 1951, it is an organization of more than 100 institutional sponsor members, both in the U.S. and internationally.
Professor Boyne's research in the field of comparative law focuses on the decision-making practices of German prosecutors. Her upcoming book, The German Prosecution Service: Guardians of the Law? is being published by Springer Publishing.
Professor Boyne is co-chair of the Global Crisis Leadership Forum, a Dean’s Fellow, and a DRIVE Fellow. She teaches evidence, criminal law, criminal procedure, comparative national security law, and cybercrime. She joined the faculty in 2008.
