Margaret Ryznar

Associate Professor of Law

Professor Ryznar seeks to contribute to the longstanding debates about the role of law in regulating, structuring, and influencing families and their individual members, with an emphasis on how family members hold and transfer property among themselves.  These debates have important academic and practical dimensions; for example, her recent work considers how to minimize will contests (Nevada Law Journal), how to encourage parental involvement in children’s college costs through the tax code (Michigan State Law Review), and how to improve child support enforcement (Catholic University Law Review).  Professor Ryznar also regularly writes on these issues for the Huffington Post and Family Law Prof Blog.
