Bar Exam Info

Everything you learn at IU McKinney helps to prepare you for the day you take the Bar Exam.

The Bar Exam is the government-mandated test every lawyer must take before he or she can become licensed to practice law. More information about taking the bar exam can be found on the LSAC website. In most instances, you'll need to take the Bar Exam for each state in which you want to practice. The Multistate Bar Exam (MBE) may also be an option.

The essay-based Bar Exam varies by state. Many students take preparatory courses. Bar study loans are available for such courses.
