Making out-of-state tuition affordable.
IU McKinney recognizes that going out of state for school can be expensive. That’s why our campus decided to participate in the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) - a multi-state tuition reciprocity program. Through the MSEP, public institutions agree to charge students no more than 150% of the in-state resident tuition rate for specific programs.
Details may be found at this site: http://msep.mhec.org/
Students who are legal residents of Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, and Wisconsin will pay no more than 150% of the in-state resident tuition rate.
Additionally, the IU Indianapolis campus created non-resident tuition discount programs for residents of Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan, who will pay no more than 150% of the in-state resident tuition rate. These awards are named the Illinois Student Excellence Award (ISEA), Kentucky Student Excellence Award (KSEA), and the Michigan Student Excellence Award (MSEA).
Based on 32 credit hours required of full time first year students, that's an annual tuition discount of $6,020. Eligible students will automatically receive an award that will offset their non-resident tuition charge in their tuition bill (no application required).
The tuition for eligible students for the 2022-2023 academic year is listed below and is based only on Fall and Spring enrollment. Fees are not included.
- Full-time status (based on 32 credit hours): $45,648
- Part-time status (based on 24 credit hours; 10.5 hours in the fall/spring, 3 hours in the summer): $34,236
Please note, eligible students may receive merit-based and donor-funded scholarships in addition to the non-resident tuition discount. All enrollment decisions are made at the discretion of IU McKinney School of Law.
