A human rights lawyer, professor, and activist. She currently teaches in the Department of International Education of the National University of Tres de Febrero and at the National University of José C. Paz.

Professor Massimino has served as a Rapporteur of the Criminal Cassation Court of the Province of Buenos Aires and works actively in the fields of internal and international conflicts and serious violations of human rights and international criminal law in Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Guatemala, Bangladesh, and Iraq. She focuses mainly on external intervention and the crime of genocide.
In 2017, Prof. Massimino received an inaugural Distinguished LL.M. Alumni Award from IU McKinney during the 15th anniversary of its LL.M. Program.
Professor Massimino also participates in the creation of justice projects for international crimes and genocide prevention. She has served in international investigative delegations and trial observation missions.
