Program on Law and State Government
Public Policy Mediation
Time: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Location: Inlow Hall, 530 W. New York Street, Indianapolis, IN
The course on Public Policy Mediation consists of 40 hours of training in the following areas: mediation theory, public policy mediation, law, ethics, litigation, multi-party disputes, and interpersonal communication skills and dynamics. Participants will practice mediation skills with proven, hands-on activities, including supervised role-playing, small group exercises, and an interactive video program developed by the Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation.
In addition to earning 24 hours of CLE credit, course participants will earn 40 hours of basic civil mediation training that will qualify them to become registered civil mediators under Ind. A.D.R. Rule 2.5.
The course on Public Policy Mediation meets Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., August 15-19, 2011.
