V-Day College Campaign 2005 is coming to the IU-Indianapolis School of Law!
On February 13, 2005, the law school will celebrate this year’s only
Indianapolis V-Day event. V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against
women and girls. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase
awareness, raise money and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence
organizations. V-Day generates broader attention for the fight to stop
worldwide violence against women and girls, including rape, battery, incest,
female genital mutilation and sexual slavery.
On Sunday, February 13, we will present two performances of Eve Ensler’s
play, "The Vagina Monologues" in the law school Atrium. Proceeds from these
performances will benefit the INCASA, the Indiana Coalition Against Sexual
Assault. Performances will be at 3 and 7pm; tickets are $5 for students and
$10 for general public. Tickets will be on sale one hour before the
performances; sales are cash only.
