Join us for The Fifteenth Amendment, Unigov, and the Indianapolis School Desegregation Case in Retrospect with Prof. Kevin D. Brown, IU Maurer School of Law on Thursday, February 8th.
The 50th anniversary of the enactment of UniGov in the City of Indianapolis that pushed the border of the City of Indianapolis out to include the entire County and, thus, reduced the percentage of black voters from 40% to 20%, but also was the discriminatory act with cross-district impact that allowed for the cross-district bussing to occur in Indianapolis.
Parking:
Parking is available for a nominal fee at the campus Gateway Garage, located on the corner of Michigan and California Streets (Address is 525 Blackford Street).
Please note that New York Street is a two-way street as of January 2016.
Please note that there may be construction on or near campus as Michigan Street is changed to a two-way street. Plan accordingly for possible delays resulting from this construction.
