2021 PLSG Fellows:
This year’s Program on Law and State Government Fellowship symposium will explore state governments’ responses to increasing gun violence across our country. Fellow Chaka Coleman will present her research regarding data collection and preventing gun violence. Fellow Katie Whitley will share her work exploring how state governments leverage public dollars for intervention strategies and comprehensive re-entry initiatives. Lawyers, academics, policy makers, and a journalist/author will join the event as symposium faculty to share their respective experiences and perspectives regarding Second Amendment rights, red flag laws, local government pilot programs, and gun violence reduction initiatives.
We hope you can join us for this important discussion. The morning will be virtual and the afternoon, in-person, at the law school.
Effective August 5, 2021, all students, faculty, staff, and visitors are required to wear a mask indoors on IUPUI's campus.
