Paul J. Galanti served as a managing editor of the University of Chicago Law Review while in law school. Before joining the faculty in 1970, he practiced with the Chicago, Illinois, law firm of Ross, Hardies, O’Keefe, Babcock, McDougald & Parsons, specializing in corporate and public utility law. Professor Galanti was a visiting professor at the University of Illinois College of Law during the spring of 1982, and a visiting scholar at the East China Institute of Politics and Law in Shanghai during the spring of 1993. He served as the resident director of the school’s China Summer Program in 1991, 1993, 1996, and 2000. His four-volume treatise on Indiana business organizations law was published in 1991.
He was elected vice president of the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis Faculty Council in 1998, and president in 2000. He also serves as co-secretary of the Indiana University Faculty Council.
