Bio
Elizabeth Allington became Assistant Dean of External Affairs in August 2022, after having served as Interim Assistant Dean for External Affairs since January 2022. Before that, she served as Director of Communications and Creative Services at IU McKinney Law for over 20 years. She originally worked in the Office of Development, after joining the law school administration in the Fall of 1996.
She organizes and writes content for the web and print publications (including the award-winning McKinney Lawyer Alumni Magazine), oversees production of marketing materials, manages social media, manages special events, and coordinates media relations.
Allington was a member of the 2024-2025 cohort of the IU Indianapolis Next Generation 2.0 leadership development program.
Before coming to the law school, she worked for the New York University Center for European Studies and taught English in France.
