Bio
Erin Engels is an Indiana Attorney with over 20 years of academic coaching experience. She served as IUPUI prelaw advisor and Director of Paralegal Studies for 15 years and recently joined the IU McKinney School of Law.
Her research areas include effective program design, active learning techniques, critical thinking, and integrating employability qualities into academics. She previously taught courses in Introduction to Law, Legal Research and Writing, Advanced Research and Writing, Judicial Politics, and Estate Law.
She received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois-Springfield in 1996. She earned her J.D. from Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1999. She has been admitted to practice law in Indiana since 1999.
Engels was previously a solo practitioner in Pittsboro, Indiana. Her practice areas included estate planning, business planning and representation and non-profit corporation representation. She currently serves on the President of the Board of Trustees for Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, Indiana.
