Analysis of Health System and Cooperative Health Insurance System in Saudi Arabia, and Proposing a National Health Insurance Coverage – Yazeed A. Alissa
My dissertation thesis is designed to achieve the goal of easing the access to health care services through proposing a national health insurance coverage in Saudi Arabia. The dissertation will discuss the struggle of most Saudis to obtain appropriate health care services due to variety of reasons, such as, the lack of health care workforces and facilities, delay of health care appointments as well as the high challenge of population growth. Therefore, my objective is to overcome these issues through the analysis of the health law, the cooperative health insurance law, as well as many important health facts and statistics in Saudi Arabia. My study will also include several international health care and health insurance experiences as compared to Saudi Arabia in order to reach my goal based on variety of perspectives.
