Professor Xuan-Thao Nguyen (in the photo at left) was invited to speak at the Supreme Court of Thailand on October 10, where she was on a panel with Justice Auen Kunkeaw (photo at right). Professor Nguyen and Justice Auen spoke on the topic of “Bankruptcy and Policy.” The room was filled with judges from the Supreme Court, lower courts, and judicial officials, Professor Nguyen said.

“It was a great honor to speak before so many distinguished judges and justices,” she said.

Professor Nguyen joined the IU McKinney faculty in Summer 2014. She is the Gerald L. Bepko Chair in Law, and is an internationally recognized legal scholar, known for her expertise in the intersections of intellectual property, secured transactions, bankruptcy, licensing, and taxation.
