Professor Morris Cited in IP Magazine, Report to Congress

Professor Emily Michiko Morris has had her scholarship cited by Intellectual Property Magazine and in a report to Congress.
Professor Morris’ work was mentioned by two columnists writing for the September 2014 issue of Intellectual Property Magazine, regarding the decision by the United States Supreme Court in the case Alice Corp v. CLS Bank International.
She also recently learned that her article “The Myth of Generic Pharmaceutical Competition Under the Hatch-Waxman Act,” published in the Fordham Intellectual Property Media & Entertainment Law Journal in 2012 was cited in a report to Congress concerning pharmaceutical patent settlements. This scholarship also was mentioned in testimony before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Antitrust, Competition Policy, and Consumer Rights.
Morris is an associate professor of law at IU McKinney. She teaches patent law, copyright law, and intellectual property law. Her research and teaching interests include patent law, health law and bioethics, Japanese law, and law and economic analysis.
