Professor Hill Writes about President's Immigration Plan in Indianapolis Star
11/20/2014
Professor John Hill says President Barack Obama’s plan to grant residence status to as many as 5 million undocumented people now living in the United States is outside the scope of the chief executive’s power to execute laws and instead is crossing the line over into law making, thereby making it “unconstitutional.” He writes about the president’s proposal in an op-ed that was published November 20 in the Indianapolis Star.
Professor Hill holds a J.D. and a doctorate in philosophy, both of which he received from Georgetown University. In addition to being a professor of law at IU McKinney, where he teaches constitutional law, civil procedure, torts, jurisprudence and ethical and legal issues at the end of life, he also is a Grimes Fellow, and an adjunct professor of philosophy in the Department of Philosophy at IUPUI.
