Professor Silva Presentations on Public Housing During Fall Semester

Professor Lahny Silva made two presentations at the University of Wisconsin Law School during Fall 2014. She was an invited panelist at the Wisconsin Law Review Symposium, “Beyond the Sentence: Collateral Consequences of Conviction,” where she presented Drug-Crazed: A Public Housing Consequence of the “War on Drugs.” The event was October 3.
In addition, Professor Silva was again an invited panelist at the Midwest Law & Society Retreat at the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she presented Criminal Histories & Public Housing. The event was October 24-25.
Professor Silva is an associate professor of law and Dean’s Fellow at IU McKinney. She joined the faculty in Summer 2011. She received a B.A. and M.A. from Boston University, a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, and an LL.M. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. At Wisconsin, she was the William H. Hastie Fellow at the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison where she served as teaching assistant for Constitutional Law, Trial Advocacy and Civil Procedure. She also taught a Seminar on Post-Conviction Remedies while in Madison. At IU McKinney, she teaches Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure: Adjudication, Criminal Procedure: Investigation.
