Kerry Hyatt Blomquist, ’90, legal counsel for the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, will be honored with the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Women in the Law Division Antoinette Dakin Leach award. The award will be presented January 15 at the Skyline Club in downtown Indianapolis.

The award honors women lawyers and their achievements. It is named in recognition of Dakin Leach, the first woman admitted to the bar in Indiana.

Blomquist is legal counsel at ICADV, which is a statewide alliance of domestic violence programs, support agencies and concerned individuals. The group provides technical assistance, resources, information, and training to those who serve domestic violence victims, and promote social and systems change through public policy, public awareness, and education.

Blomquist teaches the course “Domestic Violence and the Law” as an adjunct professor at IU McKinney.
