01/26/2015
Professor Ross Silverman, professor of health policy and management at the Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at IUPUI, has co-authored an article published in JAMA, the Journal of the American Medical Association, on state legislatures’ and their response to the growing number of parents who refuse to have their children vaccinated.
Written with Y. Tony Yang of the Department of Health Administration and Policy at George Mason University, the article, titled “Legislative Prescriptions for Controlling Nonmedical Vaccine Exemptions,” examines state legislatures’ response, zeroing in on the processes through which parents seek vaccine exemptions.
Professor Silverman is a professor of public health and law (secondary appointment) at IU McKinney.
