IU McKinney to Celebrate Diversity Days February 19-26

Students, faculty and staff of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law will celebrate Diversity Days February 19 through 26 with a variety of events.
“Members of the Diversity Committee saw a need to bring the law school community together to celebrate the diversity of the law school community,” said IU McKinney Professor Shawn Boyne. “By hosting events which combine food and culture, we hope to encourage everyone to recognize that our differences are a source of strength.”

Thursday, February 19th
Diversity Days kicks off with the Lunar New Year!
4:30pm - 6:30pm
Student Lounge
All are welcome to attend and celebrate the Lunar New Year with free Chinese food.
Monday, February 23rd
"International Food and Cultural Court"
Noon - 2:00 pm
Law School Atrium
All are welcome to attend and enjoy various ethnic dishes prepared by various McKinney student organizations. This event features a cultural scavenger hunt complete with prizes for the winners!
Tuesday, February 24th
"Salsa from South America"
12:45 - 2:00 pm
Law School Atrium
All are welcome to watch Salsa Dancers from Riolo Dance perform in the law school atrium! Enjoy salsa and chips, a glass of sangria, and salsa dance techniques from South America.

Wednesday, February 25th
"1st Celebration of the Islamic Law Association"

Thursday, February 26th
"How to Relate to Diverse Clients and Co-Workers: Cultural Competence?"

Alumni Panel discussing issues concerning diversity in the workplace. Refreshments will be served after the event.
