03/05/2015
John Krauss, ’76, commented on the class action lawsuit against the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, noting that the fact that the case is headed to mediation typically is a “healthy sign.” He made the comment in a story that has appeared in metropolitan Indianapolis media outlets, including the Indianapolis Business Journal.
The lawsuit was filed in 2013, and alleges the BMV overcharged Indiana residents by as much as $38 million for various services and fees.
Krauss is the former and founding director of the Indiana University Public Policy Institute. He continues working part-time as a Senior Advisor to the IUPUI Chancellor and teaching intensive courses in Mediation at IU McKinney School of Law and the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Additionally, he maintains a law practice as a mediator/arbitrator.
