IU McKinney SJD Candidate Philip Aka Publishes on Human Rights

IU McKinney Doctor of Juridical Science (SJD) candidate Philip Aka published three scholarly articles critiquing and offering insights and perspectives on international human rights issues.
Aka’s article titled “The Country Reports on Human Rights Practices and U.S. Human Rights Policy in a Changing World,” was published in Perspectives on Global Development and Technology, Brill Publishers in The Netherlands, Vol. 14 (2015), pp. 238-260.
Another article by Aka, titled “Shaping Their Better Character: Religion in African American Politics in the Age of Obama,” was published as the lead article in the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion, Vol. 16 (Fall 2014), pp. 1-70.
Aka’s work also was made the lead article in yet another publication. “Judicial Independence under Nigeria’s Fourth Republic: Problems and Prospects,” was published in the California Western International Law Journal, Vol. 45, No. 1 (Fall 2014), pp. 1-78.
Aka is a professor of political science at Chicago State University, and is an adjunct professor at IU McKinney.
