IU McKinney Alumnus Honored by Fairbanks School of Public Health

Bill Thompson, ’87, chairman of the board of Hall Render Killian Health & Lyman, has been honored with the 2015 Distinguished Alumni Award by the IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health Alumni Association. The award was presented at an event March 31.
Thompson earned his bachelor of science in public health from Indiana University Bloomington, his master of health administration from the IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at IUPUI and his J.D. from the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He has dedicated his career to the field of public health, serving in roles within the administration of hospitals in Indianapolis and as one of the nation's most trusted health lawyers. Thompson was named by Nightingale's Healthcare News as one of the top 10 physician lawyers in the country. In 2012, he was elected chairman of the board at his law firm.
