IU McKinney Associate Dean, Alumnus to Serve on Immigrant Welcome Center Advisory Board

Associate Dean Karen Bravo and David Nguyen, 06, have been appointed to the advisory board for the Immigrant Welcome Center.
The center was founded in 2005 for former Indianapolis first lady Amy Minick Peterson, to serve the immigrant and refugee population in the city, and has since served more than 7,000 immigrants. The center’s mission is to connect immigrants to the resources they need to feel welcomed and valued.
Dean Bravo is a Dean’s Fellow and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and International Affairs at IU McKinney.
Nguyen is an attorney in Indianapolis and is pursuing a doctorate in higher education policy through Indiana University in Bloomington.
