Matthew Klein, ’01, has been named president of North Carolina and Tennessee for Utilities, Inc. Klein most recently has been the executive director of technical operations at the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC). In that job, he oversaw utility analysts and other professionals within the water/wastewater, electric, natural gas, resource planning and communications, and external affairs of the office.

Prior to joining OUCC, Klein was executive director of the department of waterworks for the city of Indianapolis, and has served as an assistant commissioner at the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
