Professor Winters Writes on FDA's Artificial Trans Fats Ruling for Health Affairs Blog

Professor Diana R.H. Winters has written a piece for the Health Affairs Blog that examines the Food and Drug Administration’s recent ruling on artificial trans fats. The post was published June 23.
In the piece, Professor Winters also examines the issues with the FDA’s “general recognized as safe” or GRAS, process as a whole.
Professor Winters is associate professor of law and a Dean’s Fellow. She joined the faculty in August 2012. Winters was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Law, where she was also the Health Law Scholar. There she taught environmental law, environmental litigation, and advanced civil procedure. Winters received her Ph.D. in the History of the American Civilization from Harvard University, and her J.D., cum laude, from New York University School of Law, where she was a recipient of a Dean’s Scholarship.
