Professor Dutton Receives "Teaching With Canvas Pioneer" Award

Professor Yvonne Dutton received a “Teaching With Canvas Pioneer” award for the IUPUI campus. She was notified about the award June 26. Canvas is the learning management system Indiana University is using to augment traditional teaching methods and to provide new teaching initiatives such as online classes.
Professor Dutton was recognized for her online International Criminal Law course, offered during the 2014-15 academic year. She was chosen as the winner for the IUPUI campus. The award comes with a $2500 stipend.
“I am thrilled and honored,” Professor Dutton said of the announcement, “and think it is a testament to our strong commitment to an online program that will facilitate learning in an engaging format.”
