Professor George Edwards Appointed Vice Chair of ABA International Courts Committee

Professor George Edwards has been appointed vice chair of the International Courts Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of International Law. His term will run from August 5, 2015, through August 8, 2016.
The section’s mission is to be the preeminent U.S.-based international legal organization by advancing the professional excellence of the ABA’s worldwide membership, bridging the U.S. and non-U.S. legal communities, helping section members serve the international needs of their clients, promoting substantive international expertise, and strengthening the just implementation of the rule of law.
Professor Edwards is the Special Assistant to the Dean for Inter-Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations and the Carl M. Gray Professor of Law. He is also Faculty Director (Founding), of the Program for International Human Rights Law and Faculty Director (Founding), Guantanamo Bay, Cuba U.S. Military Commission Observation Project (MCOP) and The Gitmo Observer.
