Ujala Akram, LL.M.'07, Named Assistant Dean of Marketing and Enrollment Management

Ujala Akram, LL.M. ’07, has been named assistant dean of marketing and enrollment management at Santa Clara University’s School of Education and Counseling Psychology.
Akram initially joined the school as the director of admissions and financial aid. During her time as the director, the school saw a 128 percent increase in applications, a 70 percent increase in enrollment, and 40 percent increase in diversity.
In her new role as the assistant dean of marketing and enrollment management, Akram provides leadership to the entire enrollment management process at the school. This includes marketing, recruitment, admissions, scholarships, student services, student persistence/retention and graduation processes.
Santa Clara University, the oldest operating higher education institution in California, is a comprehensive Jesuit Catholic university located in Silicon Valley. The school offers a number of graduate programs that prepare teachers, educational leaders, counselors, therapists and mental health professionals.
