IU McKinney's Lindsey Mosier Named IUPUI Staff Council Member of the Year 2015
08/14/2015
IU McKinney’s Lindsey Mosier, the law school’s admission’s information coordinator, was named IUPUI Staff Council Member of the Year for 2015. The honor was announced in Summer 2015. She is halfway through a two-year term on the council.
“I am very humbled to be the recipient of the Member of the Year Award,” Mosier said. “It is an honor to be our law school’s Staff Council Representative!”
Staff Council is a platform for staff to have a reliable way to voice their concerns and to propose suggestions. The group promotes leadership and project management skills while reinforcing the importance of staff networking and communication across departments, schools and the university at large.
Mosier had a role in producing the first Staff Development Mini Conference, which was held at IU McKinney on June 2. The event was such a hit that Staff Council plans to make it an annual event.
Her work has been noticed at the law-school level, too. Mosier was instrumental in the development of an internal Staff Development team at IU McKinney. The team was formed to promote the importance of staff and to develop actionable initiatives to promote staff appreciation and professional development. The most noticeable example is the creation of the Super Staff Board, currently located in the Inlow Hall atrium, just underneath the stairs. The board provides a public showing of thanks for anyone in the law school to write a nice note to a deserving staff member.
